Building upon the success of AccessoryCraft and 4 other modules of the Craft-serie, we’re excited to introduce a new module (and the last one of the craft-serie!) that empowers dungeon masters and players to craft unique spells and scrolls that everyone can use, no-matter your class (but the result could be… Unexpected depending on who’s using these scrolls…)
About the Craft Series
We started the Craft Series in October 2023. Initially a small module, we created and updated our entire serie to create a system that we can replicate and twist to all of the objects in D&D, allowing a more immersive crafting system for adventurers.
Whether you’re forging epic weapons, crafting magical accessories, or inventing powerful new spells, each module focuses on a distinct type of crafting, giving you everything you need to create unique, narrative-driven items and abilities that fit effortlessly into any campaign.

Note: Every module stands alone. You don’t need the earlier ones to fully enjoy the current release. Choose exactly the crafting systems you love and jump right in!
Why ScrollCraft?
In Dungeons & Dragons, magic has endless possibilities but the core rules limit you to spells that already exist. ScrollCraft changes that. Now you can create your own spells tailored specifically to your characters and your campaign’s storyline.
But that’s not all! Even non-casters can tap into this power by using experimental, one-time spell scrolls (though they’ll have to face some risky side effects by rolling a dice on a new random effect table). Spellcasters aren’t left out either; they can explore these experimental spells, learning unique magic that challenges them in new ways and keeps things exciting.
What’s in ScrollCraft?
Creating spells isn’t as simple as mixing components together. If we did it like PoisonCraft, you’d just end up with magical grenades! We wanted something fresh, unpredictable, and balanced. That’s why we introduced a completely new concept: Instability.
With the Instability mechanic, every ingredient has a unique risk factor that determines how safe or dangerous your spell might be. Want to create something incredibly powerful? Go ahead, but keep an eye on that Instability score, because your new spell might just blow up in your face!
Unsure whether your latest magical creation fits as a low-level spell or a devastating high-level? The Instability Table will guide you, helping you discover exactly where your custom spells belong.
