Here we are… The new beginning of Aerathain! Let’s start a new adventure following the last event of Ars Mechanica, 30 years after!

The world of Aerathain has changed considerably in the past 30 years. Ever since the Tragedy of Rauf Academy, the eastern reaches of the world have been in constant
turmoil. The once beautiful Republic of Aringlia has been destroyed by a dark curse known as the Nocturne Curse. It has been unleashed by an awakened Minor
Goddess called Mentrix, Horror of the Underworld, now Queen of the Nocturne Realm.
The Goddess was imprisoned in the Underworld for eternity, yet a cult of her most ardent followers tricked a group of adventurers into unleashing her upon the world.
For decades, the kingdoms and states in the east have been at war with the Nocturne Realm, trying to contain their advances on the civilized world.
The two most affected nations are the elven Kingdom of Enmore and the stout and reliable gnomish and halfling Principality of Swalling. More so, the war hungry orcs of the Lammungrad Khanate are at odds with the monsters of the Nocturne Realm, barely avoiding extinction at the hands of the demons.
Now, the nations have concocted a plan that will change the face of the war. As the heroes of Aerathain are fighting on the many avenues of warfare throughout the world, in the quaint and hidden Fylamore Forest a quest by King Rothilion of Enmore will see a small and hearty band of adventures embark on an impossible mission.
They are tasked with infiltrating the Nocturne Realm and finding the Shard of Souls, a powerful artifact that can contain the soul of a God. With it, they might have a chance to destroy Mentrix, and restore peace to the world. However, the artifact is hidden in the Necropolis of Fallhost deep in the Nocturne Realm’s territory.
Despite this difficult task, they need to ally themselves with the orcs of the Lammungrad Khanate, so that they can reach Mentrix’s Tower and defeat her.
This quest holds the balance of power between the Nocturne Realm and the civilized kingdoms. If Mentrix succeeds in her conquest, death will follow, and Aerathain will be destroyed by her dark powers.
The map is changing. An entire region of Aerathain is turning dark!

It’s time to explore the Nocturne Realm!
Aye Aye my friends! I’m back with a new complete serie, following the adventure of Ars Mechanica!!
Being a passionate D&D player, I get an absolute kick out of crafting new worlds, tweaking them, and molding them to fit the 5E TTRPG system. My love for steampunk (and let’s be honest, all things slightly weird and wonderful) runs deep, at least as far as I have memory!
I started this adventure, twisting the world of Aerathain with 7 books already (6 from the Ars Mechanica campaign and one standalone) but in between, I’ve lost some people. Following an entire campaign, from level 1 to 20 along 350 pages of adventure and the same amount in extra content and almost 200 maps can be a little bit overwhelming for non-hardcore players and I understand that!
A new beginning you said?
What’s the difference with Aerathain and Ars Mechanica? Same world but 30 years after with a new story, new events, some evolution of the map and 3 books instead of 6.
Aerathain isn’t a baby anymore. This world is growing up fast, and things are getting messy, wars, curses, scheming gods, and more drama than a bard after a bad breakup.
Do I need to buy the 7 first books before starting this new campaign?
NO. The main goal of this new campaign is to start a fresh campaign, with a brand new party, even if it’s your first time reading me!
Previous backers, more familiar with my world building will love to see all of the easter-eggs, the reference to their party in the first campaign and how Aerathain evolved after 30 years but a brand-new player will simply discover a new concept and a new world, more refined and… (after 7 books, I think I got the balls to say it) better.
I’ve learned a lot and refined Aerathain for more than 2 years now. I started with a simple idea and play around to create a complete adventure. Now I have 7 books behind me, an extra geopolitical guide, 300+ pages of module and a world map and tons of iconic characters to use to improve the quality of Aerathain!
And the french version… Can we get it that time?

Oui… Oui… Well…. You have to tell me!
Taking care of the French version of Ars Mechanica was the main reason I wasn’t able to launch new chapter as frequently as I wanted but I know there are still some backers interested in. The problem? I don’t know how many!
This will be our social goal. If I received at least 50 comments on the Kickstarter comment page, asking for the french version, this new serie will be also translated in french.
But this time I don’t want to be overwhelmed, spending time translating from english to french instead of creating new content so I will hire a professional translator (as I did for the collector edition) for the adventure book.
The addons in PDF will not be translated (PDF are easier to translate on your side anyway compare to a printed book) so we can make everyone happy without loosing the momentum of creativity!
Aerathain – The Novel is there!!
Well… WELL!
Remember the novel my friend was writting in the world of Aerathain?
You probably don’t, I think he started … a year ago?
Good news my friend… It’s READY!
And when I say it’s ready, I’m not joking. You can litterally add it to your pledge, wether as a premium pledge option or as an addon if you only want the book!

One year ago, the debate between French or not French wasn’t a thing so for that one, you’ll be able to get in English AND French, no matter what!
This is not fanfiction, this novel is, starting from today, become an entire part of Aerathain lore so if you’re want to learn more about it and follow a group of adventurers, this one is for you!!
Ok but… When are you going to reveals the extra addons linked to that new campaign?
Hey! You know me a bit too much!
You want more content this time? Ok, let’s play a game, I know you were enjoying the idea of interracting with me all along the campaign instead of buying all of the addons at once, I’m back with a fun concept, I hope you’ll like like, everything is explained here:

Ok ok, I know it’s a lot of text but we’re almost there! Let’s hop on Stretch Goals!
You know the best part about Kickstarter? It’s the only place where the thing you decided to buy evolves for a whole month with just one simple action: more people joining the adventure, buying the same thing as you, and unlocking more content for everyone.
Now, imagine that concept in a regular grocery store: You buy an apple, and a month later, you get a message from the store telling you to come pick up another apple for free, because 1,000 people bought the same apple as you, and they decided to double the amount of apples per person. Crazy, right? Well, that’s exactly how stretch goals work.
How can you get involved to earn more apples (uh, I mean, content)from the campaign? It’s simple! Share the project on your social media, and if everyone does the same, you’ll unlock even more content for the same price!
Here is the list of all of the stretch goals.
I’ll keep adding more and more until the campaign wraps up, so don’t be shy, blast through these stretch goals!

We’ll unlock them, one by one, when we reach the amount next to the stretch goal!
Let’s team up, spread the word, and see just how many awesome pieces of content we can unlock together!
Let’s talk about the map pack now! First, here is one example of the map you will find in this pack, and that you can get it for free here:

(You can get it for free, even if you don’t back the campaign. I will not be sad… Not too much…)
The map pack includes 20 maps by default (some maps are also included in the book by default, but only the mandatory ones). If we unlock more maps through stretch goals, they will only be added to the map pack (available with the Explorer Pack or the Value Pack). If you pledge for the PDF or PRINT version, you will not receive the extra maps, so don’t forget to add them if you’re interested!
Ok now, the most important part… The DELIVERY!
Almost forgot to mention this… oops! But yeah, kinda important, right?
I’m a huge fan of DriveThruRPG for a while now. It’s a fantastic platform that lets independent (and not-so-independent) creators distribute, sell, and even print their work. To keep things simple, I’ll be using DriveThruRPG to deliver all digital content just 2 weeks after the campaign ends.

About the printed versions
Thanks to DriveThruRPG, you can now grab a print copy without any hassle.
📦 Expected Delivery:
- Printed books will be available at the end of April, beginning of May max.
- Since this campaign offers both digital and printed versions, you’ll get all the digital files first, no waiting around!
How Printing & Shipping works (READ THIS!)
DriveThruRPG has a different pricing system than your usual online store, which might be confusing if you’ve never used it before. But don’t worry, it’s actually pretty simple:
✅ You pay for the book’s royalties here on Kickstarter.
✅ After the campaign ends, you’ll receive a link to order your print copy on DriveThruRPG.
✅ At checkout, you’ll pay:
- The printing cost of the Hardcover version (currently ~8€).
- The shipping fees, based on your location and chosen shipping method (and if you’re buying more than one book from other creators, you’ll be able to order everything at once on DTRPG to lower the shipping fees.

If you’re in North America, Australia, or the EU, the shipping fees are super reasonable.
Why?
I know this system might feel a little unusual, but trust me, it’s the best way to keep things smooth and affordable for everyone.
🚀 Faster shipping: You enter your address yourself on DriveThruRPG, avoiding delivery errors.
💰 Lower costs: No inflated shipping fees, just the real price based on your location.
🌟 Premium quality: You get beautiful, full-color hardcover books (and softcover for the addons) at a fraction of the usual cost.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
To avoid flat-rate nonsense and any mix-ups with addresses, you’ll pay for shipping and enter your delivery info yourself on DriveThruRPG after the campaign ends. That way, you get the best possible deal and the books reach you hassle-free!
Looking for extra adventures? Check in the addon section for all of my previous books!
Enought to play for a year with hundred of pages of Aerathain content.

It’s your timeeee!
Feew! We finally made it to the end of this campaign page. Once again, I couldn’t make it small and concise…
So, before I go, a massive thank you for sticking with me this far. Your support means the world, and I can’t wait for you to dive into this adventure!
Sereyrathana, your ever-dedicated (and slightly sleep-deprived) librarian!
