The story

Welcome to the Labyrinth…

In the world of steam-powered machines and clockwork marvels, there was a legend of a labyrinth made entirely of brass. It was said to be filled with untold riches and secrets that would make a person’s wildest dreams come true. Many adventurers had tried to find it, but none had ever returned.

One day, a group of intrepid explorers gathered in a small tavern on the edge of the city. They came from different backgrounds, but they all shared a burning desire to uncover the mysteries of the labyrinth. They planned their journey meticulously, gathering supplies and studying maps, before finally setting out into the wilderness.

Days turned into weeks as they made their way through the rugged terrain. They battled fierce creatures and overcame treacherous obstacles, but they never wavered in their quest. Finally, they arrived at the entrance to the labyrinth.

As they approached, a voice echoed through the massive door, “Welcome to the Labyrinth of Brass. Will you enter and lose your mind like many among others?”

A growing project, ready to get more content!

Welcome to my first adventure! This project will, hopefully, be the first on a long series if it receive a nice welcome from the Kickstarter community!

As a D&D enthusiast and gamer, I love to create new world and adapt them to the 5E of this TTRPG and obviously, starting with Steampunk was for me an evidence since I’m a huge Lovecraftian among other Steampunk universes from books, video games (hello Arcanum!) and movies.

The world of Ars Mechanica is just at its beginning and I already dream about a massive library to allow people to play for years on it but let’s leave the aeronef for a minute and go down to earth to present you this first digital 5E supplement!

Indeed, the Labyrinth of Brass is a fully steampunk adventure from level 1 to 5, along 50+ pages that you can use to add in your homebrew campaign, or follow all along from the beginning.

It will include riddles, combats, dialogues and many other classical TTRPG mechanics with my own touch and this lovely steampunk universe that we are missing so much in the D&D community at this moment in my humble opinion!

Welcome to the Labyrinth of Brass!

A 2-time goal for this campaign

If, the digital version itself it’s not a problem, adapt a book to make a proper printed version will be a challenge and, of course, that’s not something I can do for 1 or 2 people only, I have to be sure there are enough backers on this part to start this process and that’s why the ultimate stretch goal of this campaign will be to reach 200 backers !

If we succeed in doing that, well, first I think I will cry a bit (of joy of course) to see how many people are ready to follow me in this journey and then, I will use of my energy and  contacts to adapt the PDF into an epic printed book version.

Then, after probably 2 to 3 weeks maximum, you will be able to buy the printed version of the book. Of course, you will also receive the PDF, no matter what!

Wait… There are more stretch goals in between!

I love stretch goals as much as you, it’s always so great when we participate to a project we love, just by sharing it and then we realize you small work help to unlock a new reward, without increasing the price!!

I mean… Imagine if the life was like that for everything? Like you buy a basket of apple, telling to your friends that you buy some apple and then, a random apple seller send you a text to tell you that you will receive an extra apple because you share what you did… Nice no ? Ok, sorry for the distraction, let’s go back to the stretch goals.

I don’t know about you, but when I play any kind of TTRPG, there is one thing I really love, is to use a brand new map, or even better, a set of maps. That’s so useful and make the immersion way more intense and, lucky me, I know a very talented person who make a bunch of maps, turning my ugly sketches into beautiful (and even usable on VTT softwares)  maps!

Like… that:

This one has been made with assets from 2-Minute Tabletop, and the others one will come from other sotfwares.

By the way, this one is on me, you can download it for free here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19v_5Mdrz0IYLUvBqar3fs89A9w-Cp_nU?usp=share_link (No for real, even the VTT file is free. I know… I know… It’s amazing…)

Anyway, because it’s time to make things properly, here are the actual list of stretch goals you can help me to unlock (and trust me, I definitely need your help, I’m terrible at marketing… expect for selling aeronef! (did I talk too much about aeronef? Probably…))

So yeah… I think you understand the concept but just to explain, when the funding goal exceed the number in red, it becomes green and that mean the stretch goal is unlocked and it will be added to the Full Pack Adventurer.

Let’s talk about the most important part : the delivery of the files!

I almost forget this part but it’s kinda important to talk about it don’t you think?

I’m a huge fan and customer of DrivethruRPG. This website allow independant (and not so independant) creators to provide their content, sell and even print (still debating with myself about using their services if we reach the 200 but I have to admit that the quality of their books is quite nice…)  to backers and else.

So, to make it easy as possible, I will use this system to provide all of the content few days after the of the campaign!

“And what if I don’t like to use 3rd party to get my content ? I’m punished right?”

Eeeh! Don’t worry, I have your back, we are in a friendly place here, no problem. The files will also be available on a Google Drive with a private link to download everything without asking any question!

A last word, and I’m done, promise!

Ok, I think we arrived at the end of this campaign, I don’t know how much time I took to write this page but it was intense and… interesting!

I realized I didn’t talk about myself so much, but that’s normal since you are here for the book and not for me at the end! So I will simply finish this story with a thank you note for the time you spent reading all of this and sign with my lovely surname.

˜˜Sereyrathana, your dedicated librarian on his aeronef! (Yeah, I forget to mention i’m Cambodian/French, I forgive you if you can’t pronounce my name properly, it happened everytime!)
